Maresca’s approach depends on rhythm, chemistry, and positional understanding, but that’s impossible to build when the core of your team changes every summer (not to mention the MANY injuries as a result of FIFA's crazy World Club Championship experiment). The club seems more focused on trading assets than building a footballing identity.

What’s striking is that for all the talk about “long-term vision,” their decisions keep resetting the project before it can mature. Still, they have some extremely talented individuals in there.

Yeah spot on Paul. Maybe I’m just a skeptic at heart, but I’m not entirely convinced the owners are in it for the long-term. Buy lots of young players (I.e assets), let them mature in value and then sell the whole lot down the road. It’s just whether Maresca can work within that.
